What’s the difference between kite, wing and parawing?
Kite: a large sail flown with a bar and long lines, hooked to a harness. It’s the most powerful: ideal for long rides, even in light wind.
Wing: an inflatable wing held directly in your hands, with no lines. Intuitive and immediate, it’s at its best in strong wind.
Parawing: an ultra-light soft wing with handles and short lines. It packs away in seconds, fits in your backpack and takes you anywhere in the mountains.
What if there’s no wind on the chosen day?
We move the session to the first suitable day: your package stays valid all season.
Do I need experience?
No. We start with the first steps of flying the kite on foot and guide you step by step, at any age.
What should I bring?
Ski clothing, helmet, goggles and gloves. Kite equipment (sail, bar and harness) is included in the lessons.
Can I give it as a gift?

Snowkite School
The school operates in the ski area ofAlto Sangro since 2004.
The shape of the mountains, theexposure to every wind, the different spots reachable by car or by lift make it the ideal destination for snowkiting.
A team of qualified instructors runs courses for all ages and levels, getting students quickly to the point where they can have fun safely. The school is supported by the market leader Ozone through its Italian distributor Ozone Italia shop.
Skis or snowboard on your feet, a kite in your hands: and the wind takes you.
Snowkiting is the freest way to enjoy the mountains in winter. A traction kite pulls you across the snow, on the flat and uphill, away from crowded slopes and without lifts.

If you can ride down a blue slope on skis or a snowboard, you’re ready: we’ll take care of the rest.
Safe, with the right method
Modern kites have quick-release systems that “switch them off” in an instant. You start with small kites, on wide plateaus, with the instructor always beside you.
You learn fast
After the first hours you’re already flying the kite on your own and gliding across the snow.

Since 2013 the main snowkite event in Italy. In 2027 Alto Sangro becomes a stop of the IKA Snowkite World Cup: more than 100 international athletes racing on the plateaus, between 1,800 and 2,300 metres.
